GENERAL
FEATURES include
Captain's Flying Bridge for sundeck driving, rear swimming
platform, VHF radio, TV+VCR, AM/FM/CD player, 2 built-in ice
chests, bar-b-que grill, electrical generator (providing 110V
electric power), central heating & air conditioning, safety
railings, hot water heater, bath and a half. The all-weather
cabin features storage areas, dinette seating for 10, privacy
curtains, 4 queen beds and a sofa sleeper. Kitchen includes
microwave, 4 burner electric range & oven, full size refrigerator,
and coffee maker. Safety features aboard: fire extinguishers,
CO and smoke detectors, VHF radio, life preservers, sound
device & night lights as required.
SUPPLIES include silverware, cooking utensils, plates, cups, garbage can and liners, bucket, mop, dust pan, broom and vacuum.
RESERVATIONS should be made as early as possible and will be held only with a deposit. If the deposit is to be mailed, it must be received within seven ( 7 ) days in order to hold the reservation. We accept cash, in-state checks, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
DEPOSIT: An advance deposit equal to 50% of your charter fee including tax is required to reserve charter. The rental balance must be paid 30 days prior to departure date. A $1000 security deposit is required upon departure and will be refunded when the vessel returns on time, clean, undamaged and with complete inventory.
CANCELLATION POLICY In the event cancellation of a reservation is necessary, written notice must be received at least 60 days prior to reservation date. Payment will be refunded less a $100 service charge. For cancellations received within a period of 60 to 30 days prior to reservation date, payment will be refunded less a $500 cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to reservation date will forfeit total prepayment. If a reservation must be rescheduled, there will be a $100 fee charged up until 30 days prior to reservation date. Any rescheduling requests after this time will be treated as a cancellation. We regret that we cannot make exceptions for personal emergencies as a cause for cancellation. There are no refunds for late arrivals or early returns. Once you have taken possession of the vessel, no adjustment to rental rates will be made as a result of adverse or inclement weather or lake conditions.
RENTALS are limited to adults age 21 and older with valid auto driver's license. Arrival and Departure times are set and must be adhered to. Departing vessels must be boarded with all persons and gears by 5:00 P.M. or vessel must stay dockside until 9 A.M. the following morning. No Vessel will be allowed in or out of the Marina after dark.
OCCUPANCY Maximum overnight occupancy is 15 per boat. Maximum daytime occupancy for parties is 30 per boat. If your boat is on the lake with more than the approved number of people, we reserve the right to board the boat and return it to the Marina. The remainder of the rental time will be forfeited and damages, cleaning fees, etc will be charged against the deposit. We supply 15 life jackets per boat to be used for emergency purposes only. For groups of more than 15, the customer is responsible for providing additional life jacket(s) as required by law.
OPERATION Customer is checked out on all procedures at the marina. No special boat license needed, only respect for size of craft, its engines, basic boating rules and courtesy. ANCHORING overnight in the main body of the lake is prohibited (anchor only in coves). Boats must be operated in a safe manner and for the purposes for which they are intended. Failure to comply with safe boating procedures will cause remainder of rental time to be forfeited and damages, cleaning fees, etc will be charged against the deposit. NIGHT cruising is prohibited! Allow yourself plenty of time to reach your anchorage before nightfall. Captain's checkout is required upon departure and arrival. Please read and follow all instructions in your operator's manual. Ask the houseboat manager any questions if you are uncertain about any operating procedure with regard to the boat, navigation, anchoring, etc. Do not attempt to leave Hurst Harbor until you are comfortable in the operation of the boat. Diving from any level of the houseboat is prohibited. No fireworks are allowed on board any of the boats.
ENTERING MARINA When entering the harbor, please contact the Harborside by radio or Phone for docking instruction and assistance. Docking at marinas other than Hurst Harbor is prohibited.
LINENS INCLUDED for up to 10 people. Towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and pillow cases.
LATE RETURNS Will be charged at a rate of $150 per hour.
